Design Office

Our modern design office consists of both CAD seats and CAM seats.

 

AutoCAD and Solidworks are used for mould design and Delcam is used to import various file types from which we can produce a model which is in turn used to create a cutter path profile to machine core and cavity inserts.

Inspection

All mould inserts are visually and dimensionally checked for accuracy prior to mould assembly. Sizes are recorded and supplied to the customer along with the mould manual upon completion.

Assembly Area

Our assembly area consists of six heavy duty steel tables and six overhead gantries to facilitate the stripping and assembly of heavy moulds. Included are five 3.2 tonne and one 5 tonne electric travelling hoists.

Moulding Area

We have a comprehensive tool trialling facility which consists of three Negri Bossi machines with a maximum lock of 210 tonnes. We also have the technology to trial auto-unscrewing moulds.

 

Mould Validation

In addition to our Negri Bossi moulding machines for mould sampling we also have a dedicated cell complete with a 5 tonne gantry which is available for our customers should they wish to have a new moulding machine delivered to our facility in Totnes.

 

This gives the customer the added benefit of having all technical staff under the same roof for ease of mould validation.
