Mould Details
Hot runner moulds can range from single cavity hot nozzle mould tools through to multi-cavity, multi-drop manifold design. The initial cost of a hot runner mould is higher due to the price of the system and the controller required to run it, however, these costs are quickly recouped by minimised level of scrap material and reduced cycle time of the mould. Amtek is more than happy to recommend the best system for your customer's product.
During the design of a hot runner mould, close attention will be paid to the choice of steel, hot runner system, mould cooling, feed points, venting, split lines and all other technical aspects that will prolong the life of the mould and minimise downtime during maintenance whilst maximising efficiency to achieve the lowest possible cycle time.
