Mould Details

A multi-cavity mould is essentially based on a single face, one of the simplest forms of mould tools. The more cavities per face, the more parts produced per cycle and thus far increasing the productivity of a moulding machine. Multi-cavity mould tools are a very popular choice for mass volume, consumer goods such as caps and closures for drinks beverages. We produce over 50 multi-cavity mould tools per annum for our customers, across the board.

During the design of a multi cavity mould, we pay close attention to the choice of steel, runner system and mould cooling technique used, in addition to the tool’s feed points, venting, split lines and all other technical aspects that will maximising efficiency to achieve the lowest possible cycle time, prolong the life of the mould and minimise downtime during maintenance. Multi cavity moulds should only be ordered when you are absolutely ready for the product to be produced in bulk.
